Spring Outwear
Spring Outwear could only be referred to as functional fashion.
In fact, if you remove the sleeves from a jacket, you end up with a vest.
Jacket styles vary. They include the fitted single-breasted lounge jacket, single-breasted Norfolk jacket, three-button style lounge jacket, the dinner jacket, the sports jacket, the flight jacket, the leather jacket, the windbreaker, the waist length or Eisenhower jacket.
Do you know why most modern day men’s suits, sport jackets, and vests are designed without buttons?
These particular spring outwear design was influenced by King Edward VII, whose body build made it very difficult to button the bottom of this vest. Fortunately or unfortunately, his actions were interpreted as a fashion statement.
Interestingly, the business suit for men has seen little to no change for about 70 years.
Everyone should have a great leather jacket in their wardrobe. It is perfect to wear with a T-shirt and jeans and great pair of high tops.
Interesting History
Did you know that the buttons on the sleeve of a jacket has a history? It does. This history involves Frederick the Great of Prussia.
Buttons were Frederick’s solution for what he observed to be a very unrefined behavior. This behavior was observed when a soldier wiped his nose on his sleeve.
It is believed that the fashion for blazers was started by the captain of HMS Blazer, in an attempt the sharpen up the crew visually for the Queen’s royal visit. Needless to say, these blazers became a permanent part of the soldiers’ uniforms because the Queen was so impressed.

Lioness
I always say spend more on classics, like a good pair of leather trousers, an amazing tailored jacket, or a classic handbag. Then you can just mix your everyday tops from the high street.
